MAIN STREET BUILDERS has been building homes since the early 80’s. A family owned business, Dave & Barb started out building homes for the first-time home buyer in South King County. They later built homes for the move-up home buyer, and have, over the years, built beautiful lakeside mansions along Lake Washington.

As well as working together in Main Street Builders, both Dave and Barb put much time into other aspects of the building industry. Dave is currently a member of the Renton Chamber of Commerce. He has also been very active in the MBA of King & Snohomish Counties. He continues to serve as a Rampathon Captain, been the Chair of the Retention and Membership committees and is a representative of the State and National Association of Home Builders. He currently serves on the MBA’s Board of Directors, the Board of Directors of the Care Foundation, and Chairs the South King County issues Group. He is the 2008 vice president for this group, and Chairman of the Finance Committee. Recently he served on Governor Gregoires Task Force on Home Owner Security, Senator Murray’s Sub-Prime Round Table and the City of Kent Permit Review Task Force.

Barb has an accounting background, and is also a member of the Building Industry Association of Washington’s Board of Directors. She provides the office and contract management to complement Dave’s field management of projects. Barb has been committing almost all of her time to making Main Street Builders a more successful, efficient company, as well as being sure to appeal to the customers. She makes all of the finish selections for the spec homes, and assists MSB custom home buyers with their selections. Her presence in the selection process is what helps make Main Street’s houses feel like a home.

On a personal note, Dave & Barb have been married 32 years, and have two grown daughters — one of which is currently employed in Main Street’s office.
